3. 2009 Florida ASPA Conference, May 15, 2009, Daytona Beach, Florida Area
The Florida ASPA Conference, established in 2005, was created as a forum to bring together government employees, academics, and students of public administration through-out the state to exchange best practices and discuss ideas and issues that affect all Florida residents. The conference location rotates yearly along the I-4 corridor to remain centrally located within the state; this one day event provides conference attendees with thought-provoking sessions, networking opportunities, and a chance to explore new cities in the state.

This conference explored and developed innovative practices for public administration to address the growing diversity of communities around the country. It emphasized the importance of context and culture on the sustainability of innovations, and ASPA’s role in supporting public administration globally from a U.S. perspective.
